Emily Moore (b. 1983, London) is a British contemporary artist whose multidisciplinary practice expands the language of painting through textiles, installation, performance, and material experimentation. Based in London, Moore graduated with an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art in 2020, where she developed the concept of "wildness" a term she uses to describe both her intuitive studio methodology and an expanded understanding of contemporary painting that embraces openness, material exploration, and the unexpected.

Drawing on personal history, craft traditions, and art history, Moore creates works that move fluidly between paint, woven textiles, embroidery, and installation. Her practice reflects an ongoing dialogue between making and meaning, where gesture, intuition, and materiality become vehicles for exploring identity, memory, community, and transformation. Influenced by her upbringing and her father's work as a French polisher and furniture restorer, Moore's work is rooted in a deep respect for craftsmanship while challenging conventional boundaries of painting.

Since graduating from the Royal College of Art, Moore has established herself as one of the UK's emerging contemporary artists. She was awarded the Valerie Beston Award in 2020 and presented her debut solo exhibition, Black Roses, at Ordovas Gallery, London, in 2021. Her work has since been exhibited at leading institutions and galleries including White Cube, Gagosian, Lisson Gallery, Saatchi Gallery, Pi Artworks, and Fold Gallery, and is held in private collections.

Alongside her studio practice, Moore is a co-founder and is the Chair of RCA BLK, the Royal College of Art's network supporting Black students, alumni, and artists. Through mentoring, exhibitions, scholarships, and community initiatives, she has played an active role in fostering greater representation and opportunity within the contemporary art world.
